Was Jesus a socialist? Does the Bible support socialism? Some professing evangelical Christians seem to think so. In this episode of the Just Thinking podcast, Darrell and Omaha (Virgil Walker) explore those questions through the worldview of one influential socio-political activist, Reverend William J. Barber, II.

I just want to say THANK YOU!!! You both have opened my eyes and are helping me to think Biblically as I look at culture. Thank you for talking about the hypocrisy happening with social justice as well as black christians who find their identity in “blackness” and victimhood. I have been sending your podcasts far and wide. These are tough conversations but you both have me wanting to read more.
Thanks again,
Karen
Thank you for speaking the truth. It is imperative for leadership to take a stand against vain philosophies and fables preached across the pulpits today. Your podcasts are insightful and more importantly CHRIST driven.
Side note: My little girls love jamming to the intro! They say “Mommy, play our song!” It’s awesome!
Your podcast is amazing! I started listening about a month ago and have been blessed, and encouraged, by everything I have heard. I especially liked this episode because I work at a Christian University that a long time ago started out as a conservative Bible Based University but over the last few years has been drinking the social justice “Kool-Aid”. Me and a few other Christians on campus expressed our complaint about this wrong Theology even going so far as asking the administration to go through the Bible with us to show us where they get their “wrong” Theology but no one in the administration will sit down with us to discuss their point of view.
I especially want to thank both of you for giving great Theological, historical background, and up to date comments on this subject. As a believer of Christ of Jewish background I want to compliment Omaha on the Mein Kampf reference because he hit it out of the park.
