On May 18, 2018, 17-year old Dimitrios Pagourtzis, a former student at Santa Fe High School in Santa Fe, Texas, allegedly used a firearm to murder 10 of his classmates and injure 10 others. Predictably, calls from special-interest groups, politicians, and others for tighter “gun control” laws immediately sprang up on social media and in the mainstream media.
